In the 2021 Budget, the government made the announcement that some industries will be prohibited from using red diesel, which is also known as gas oil.
The government advised that when a company converts from storing red diesel to white diesel, it will be required to flush out the tank and supply lines until there is no evidence of marked rebated fuel remaining on April 1st, 2022. This deadline was set for compliance.
This is exactly what we performed for this client in Ipswich. Customer had to change over fuels from Gas oil (red diesel) to white diesel due to the new legislation which is now in force.
