Tank Decommissioning at a Nuclear Power Station

Image link

Project Details

The recent project undertaken by Bio Clean Jetting involved the decommissioning of two tanks at a nuclear power station. The project was carried out in collaboration with a demolition company and involved a range of specialised techniques and safety protocols.

The primary objective of the project was to safely decommission the tanks, which had previously been used to store chemical materials. This involved a rigorous planning process, which considered the potential risks and hazards associated with the project.

The project also involved the removal of the tanks from the site. This required the use of heavy machinery, including  trucks, to transport the tanks to a secure storage and waste location. The demolition company worked closely with Biocleanjetting.co.uk to ensure that the tanks were safely dismantled and transported without posing any risk to the surrounding environment.

Throughout the project, we employed a range of specialised techniques to ensure that the tanks were safely decommissioned. This included the use of high-pressure water jets to clean the tanks and remove any residual materials and to ensure that the tanks were thoroughly cleaned and decontaminated.

Overall, the project was a success, with both tanks being safely decommissioned and removed from the site.

Client Feedback

Good morning all,

I wanted to bring to your attention the extremely good work Bio clean jetting LTD did for us on site.

From the start the company sent through RAMS of a very high quality that went through our approval system with no issues first time.

The company’s presence on site was faultless and the conducted themselves in a very professional manner

Their work ethic was impeccable arriving on site early and working through to completion. The first day working through their lunch to try and resolve unforeseeable issues

Unfortunately there were unforeseen issues at the start of the week, Bio clean worked through a process of elimination until they found a solution, each suggestion was calculated and deemed within their safe system of work, from past experience

They created an addendum to their RAMS which again was of a very high standard and was approved without comment

They worked very hard and still managed to complete the work within the time frame allotted.

It was a pleasure to work with this company and with the nature of their work could have a lot to offer the company here at Oldbury and on other sites

We invited Bio Clean Jetting to quote for the removal of our redundant oil tank. We emailed photos and access requirements and they promptly provided a quote.

A fair price paid. Efficient, professional, friendly and helpful service to remove a problematic domestic underground fuel tank.

I would highly recommend this company. They removed a rusty oil tank from my garden, including cutting it up as the access route wasn't big enough to take it out in one piece.
