This one was an emergency clean up for Jaguar Land Rover as glycol had leaked from a feed pipe. It was carried out under full confined space entry. We had to jet the floor with a very low ceiling height, and once cleaned, we carried out a fault finding procedure to find and then secure the leak.
Glycol is used in cars to cool their engines. It can come in many different forms such as water or ethylene glycol and is used to lubricate vehicle parts, coolant systems and hydraulic brake systems.
